Laying there

Tears drying on my cheeks

Heart shattered,

Soul weary,

A darkness so thick it's choking.

The World

weighs heavy

upon shoulders, sore from the burden

of a thousand dreams stillborn

and a million moments lost.

She walks

into the room

Golden Haired, Exalted One

She whispers

my name

and my heart skips a beat

She bends close

and lays lips upon mine own

her sweet kiss

the very breath of life

Darkness flees

My soul is set aflame

New life comes

to fallow fields

And once again

I look at the world

with they eyes of a youth

and a spirit unburdened.
